With his penchant for organization and multitasking, Director of Corporate Affairs Bill Begert wears numerous hats for The Corcoran Group’s management team. Among them: project coordinator, gatekeeper, author, statistician, and facilitator. Bill not only coordinates the affairs of the executive office, but oversees numerous projects including the biannual Corcoran Report, the company’s renowned survey of the state of the residential real estate market.

He joined The Corcoran Group in 2000 as executive assistant to Pamela Liebman shortly after her promotion to President & CEO. In that position, he worked with Liebman throughout the due diligence process that preceded the sale of the company to NRT. His role in the executive office grew organically to encompass so many tasks that he was named the company’s Director of Corporate Affairs in 2004.

Bill joined The Corcoran Group after a successful career in contemporary art. He was fortunate to work for two of the world’s most significant private contemporary collections – first as a curator for the Peter Norton Family in Santa Monica, where he advised on acquisitions, curated art installations and coordinated the annual Norton Family Christmas Project, and later as director at the Rubell Family Collection in Miami.

A military child who has lived in a dozen states, Bill was born at Dover Air Force Base, Delaware and studied art history at The College of William and Mary and the University of California, Los Angeles. When not working at Corcoran, he can usually be found pursuing his interests in contemporary art, cinema, physical fitness and tournament bridge. In his bridge career, Bill achieved the rank of Life Master in 2003 and serves on the board of Greater New York Bridge Association.
