One weekend in New York changed Gladys Valencia’s life. She and her husband, who were looking to relocate from out west, fell instantly in love with the city, put an offer on an apartment, and a few months later made Manhattan their new home. Working in the insurance industry at the time, Gladys wanted to sell real estate while living in Arizona, but realized what better place to get started than in NYC. Her entry into the field involved residential sales and rentals, and over the years also encompassed on-site sales for new developments including Chelsea House Condominium and Sky House Condos.

Originally from northern California, Gladys earned a BS degree in Business from the University of Oregon. She held several jobs back in California, from marketing to acting to special events coordination for Paramount Pictures, then moved to Arizona where she established a successful career as a top-producing insurance broker. Upon moving to New York, prior to entering real estate, Gladys not only grew an impressive book of business, but maintained client relations with 750 brokers in all 50 states, launched and marketed new programs, and spoke at national conventions to board members and prospective clients.

Key to Gladys’ success has always been her exceptional people skills, approachability, follow through and focus. Whether working with a buyer, seller or renters, she is a partner in the process who listens to your needs, then acts quickly on your best behalf. Gladys brings creative solutions to the table, while helping clients see options they might not have otherwise considered. It is this proactive, interactive approach that wins loyalty and satisfaction every time.

A resident and owner at Park South Lofts in Midtown East, where she has also sold several apartments, Gladys loves spending time with her husband, baby and Teacup Maltese when not busy at work. Among their favorite family activities is strolling the city streets and admiring the diverse architecture all around them. Fluent in Spanish and English, Gladys also loves to travel, especially throughout Europe. She additionally enjoys playing guitar, and feels strongly about doing her part to “go green” to protect the environment.
