Martha Sussman is a transplanted Texan with innate charm, combined with New York savvy. She has lived and worked on Manhattan’s West Side since 1970 and has been a New York real estate broker since 1997. Prior to joining Corcoran, Martha spent over thirteen years as Director of Development and Alumni Relations for the School of Engineering and Applied Science at Columbia University, where she honed her extraordinary people skills and learned to be a persuasive negotiator.
Working her magic throughout Manhattan, Martha is highly skilled working with coops,
condominiums or townhouses. Her customers describe her as honest, patient, skilled, creative and concerned. She brings her keen sense of style and unparalleled customer service to every aspect of her work in real estate. One satisfied client commented, “Martha really knows how to get the job done!”
Preferring diversity to specialization, Martha works equally well with luxury apartments, traditional Classic 7s, or studios for first time buyers. She guides both buyers and sellers through the process with knowledge and humor, providing support all along the way. With a practiced eye, she knows the value of staging apartments to the best advantage, giving them the right amount of comfort, elegance and style. She knows from experience that apartments that show well, and are warm and welcoming, will sell more quickly and for higher prices.
As a firm believer in giving back to the community, Martha is a strong contributor to Corcoran Cares, the Corcoran Group’s philanthropic organization.
