Sheila Clancy McCarthy combines her genuine concern for people’s best interests with a results-driven entrepreneurial spirit and keen business sense to deliver utmost real estate service to buyers and sellers of fine Manhattan homes.
A Bronx girl originally, Sheila attended nursing school in Ireland then returned to New York to partner in a nursing agency on Madison Avenue which she ran and grew to great success for nearly 18 years. She subsequently switched paths and focused her talents on a Third Avenue bar and restaurant she purchased, which thrived just as well under Sheila’s capable supervision.
Sheila’s cumulative business skills and exceptional way with people paved the way for her natural transition to real estate. A longtime East 50s resident, she enjoys “selling” her neighborhood as well as other wonderful places throughout her favorite city while streamlining the transaction process for those who rely on her to help find or sell that special property.
She is herself a property owner and a good neighbor who is just as involved in her community as she is in her work. Sheila is director of the Frances Pope Memorial Foundation, and active in the Irish Arts Center, the Irish US Council, and Concern for famine relief. Her life on the East Side is made complete by her husband, two dogs and a cat who she loves coming home to after a fulfilling, rewarding day. Sheila looks forward to helping you find that wonderful place you enjoy coming home to just as much.
