Wendy Sarasohn Senior Vice President, Associate Broker
|
|
Member of President's Council
Top 25 Corcoran Broker
There's an old saying in the real estate business: "When someone wants to know the meaning of life, they seek out an enlightened person, but, when an enlightened person wants to purchase a luxury apartment in Manhattan, they seek out Wendy Sarasohn."
Wendy Sarasohn brings an intuitive gift to her professional calling. Along with her dedicated service, unflagging energy and great sense of humor, Wendy's famous "sixth sense" has made her consistently one of The Corcoran Group's top producers for over twenty years. Working alongside her daughter, Jamie, whom she’s been training since she was in first grade at Spence, Wendy is frequently "Broker of the Year," "Salesperson of the Month," and a continuous member of The Corcoran Group's "President’s Council." An accomplished student of feng shui, Wendy knows what to look for and how to improve the quality of life in the city.
"I'm different because I really do care about finding the perfect place for my customers. I like the process to be enjoyable and I am very discreet. Others may be better at interpreting floor plans and doing the math, but I'm psychic. When the apartment is right, I get chills. Sometimes it will pop out of the computer -- or I'll have a dream about it. I also intrinsically know the wrong apartments. I'm the only broker in town who will suggest a feng shui person or a smudger."
Buyers who work with Wendy can expect to see fewer apartments than they otherwise might, but each one will be appropriate for their situation and lifestyle. One satisfied customer raved, "I looked at 165 apartments before I met Wendy. She was the only one who really listened to me. Then she found me my home on the first time out." Sellers, too, can count on Wendy's intuitive ability to match properties and buyers. She enjoys an exceptionally high ratio of clients-to-sales and when Wendy takes on an exclusive property, she sells it.
Many people who meet Wendy think she looks familiar and it’s probably because they’ve seen her on television. Wendy has appeared in numerous commercials, has lent her real estate savvy to the media world and is one of the most talked about brokers in the press. She is often quoted in The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, New York Magazine, Forbes.com and CNNMoney.com. You may also have seen her discussing the latest real estate trends on NBC, ABC or Fox News.
Wendy is a graduate of the American Academy of Dramatic Arts and a Summa Cum Laude graduate of the New York University School of Journalism, where she was a member of the National Honor Society.
As a recognized leader in the community, Wendy knows the importance of giving back to the community. This year, she was honored by Boys of Town New York for her tenacious spirit and inspiration as a role model to the young women in the programs of Boys Town, which provide help to at-risk teens.

Jamie Beilin
Jamie began her career in the entertainment industry and now as a Senior Associate Broker, she knows a thing or two about the drama of buying and selling a home as well as the art of staging an apartment.
Stints at Universal Studios, RKO Pictures, New Line Cinema, and Polo Ralph Lauren helped Jamie develop a keen eye for the glamorous side of real estate. A native New Yorker who spent her youth exploring Manhattan’s rich diversity, Jamie also knows the nuances of this complex city and the personalities of its distinct neighborhoods.
Now Jamie has brought her unique talents and perspective to The Corcoran Group, where she partners with her mother, Wendy J. Sarasohn. Jamie now brings to her client interactions the same diligence and acumen that helped her succeed in the entertainment and fashion industries to her client interactions.
So instead of assisting with the casting for feature films, she now matches the right buyers with the right properties – a more fulfilling endeavor whose happy ending is a dream home (or sale) for her clients. Bright, flexible, and savvy, Jamie has a treasure trove of knowledge of Manhattan neighborhoods from the East Side, to the West Side, down to Tribeca. Jamie also knows that every building – and every apartment – has its own character, and her many years of living in New York enable her to find the right one that appeals to the visions and aspirations of her buyers. Jamie treats her clients like stars – lavishing them with attention and making sure they receive impeccable service. The result is that every transaction goes smoothly from start to finish. When Jamie is off the real estate “set,” she volunteers at the New York Junior League, an organization of women committed to promoting volunteerism, developing the potential of women, and improving communities through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. She also enjoys a good game of tennis, travel to exotic locales, and helping her alma maters (Cornell University and The Spence School).
