Nick Ferrone loves Brooklyn. During the course of his two decades living in this wonderful borough, he’s enjoyed calling Prospect Heights, Park Slope, Carroll Gardens, Cobble Hill and Brooklyn Heights home. Currently Nick and his wife are proud homeowners in their increasingly popular Red Hook neighborhood which they adore, also commonly referred to as Cobble Hill West.
When it comes to knowing his market, and being able to see potential and seize opportunity for buyers and sellers, Nick is a pro who cares just as much about the needs of his clients as he does the territory he sells. His background in and knowledge of real estate investing stemmed from his upbringing by parents who, with eight children and a tight budget, made wise decisions while making their dollars grow through smart investing. Nick has long been involved in his family’s “business,” so to speak, learning a great deal and gaining a good eye for value along the way.
Originally from Long Island, Nick graduated from Denison University where he studied English and Philosophy. After college he moved to Brooklyn and started working for a NYC-based publishing company as a graphic designer. In 1988, he started his own freelance graphic design business, and over the course of the years came to serve numerous high-profile clients in the financial and publishing industries. His interpersonal, creative, business and negotiation skills all come into play in his real estate work, enabling Nick to streamline the process for his loyal clientele.
Deeply tied to his community, Nick has served on the board of his condominium, as vice president of the PTA at PS29, and as a volunteer for the Brooklyn Heights Association and Parks Department for the Promenade Garden in Brooklyn Heights. He resides with his wife and young daughter, along with their dog Red (a Jack Russell named for Red Hook) and cat, Tip. Nick enjoys exerting himself physically by skiing, keeping his mind sharp by doing crossword puzzles and playing Scrabble, and spending quality family time partaking in all that Brooklyn has to offer.
