Diane Saatchi’s keen ability to listen to and understand her clients’ unique needs came full circle from her former career in occupational therapy to her outstanding success in the Hamptons real estate industry for 15-plus years. One of Corcoran’s Top 5 East End agents, Diane’s highly respected status among the top echelon of brokers stems from the unparalleled service and results she continually provides to countless buyers and sellers alike.
Prior to returning as a full-time broker in March 2005, Diane previously served as Vice President of Sales overseeing the management team and agent pool of the three Hamptons offices formerly known as Dayton-Halstead, where she was partner. Today she not only heads The Saatchi Team, which consists of an assistant and several talented associates; she also is highly sought after as a quotable resource by numerous publications in regard to the East End real estate market.
A native New Yorker, Diane grew up in Queens and earned her undergraduate degree from Columbia University. For 18 years, she worked in the mental health field specializing in various capacities of occupational therapy, health care administration and education. Diane served as Director of Therapeutic Services at New York Hospital, had her own private practice, plus taught at Columbia University, New York University and SUNY -Downstate.
Yet when she and her husband finally settled in East Hampton in 1987 after years of vacationing there while living in Manhattan, Diane’s life and career took a turn. The couple’s own dabbling in real estate investment and home renovation inspired her to start selling. In no time, she was offered a partnership interest and management at ET Dayton. In 1994, when the company associated with Halstead Property Company, Diane was instrumental in growing the three-person office into a three-office, 60-licensee operation doing over $133 million in sales via creative advertising, PR and the effective use of technology.
Committed to both her clients and her community, Diane enjoys the relationships she’s developed over the years both professionally and personally. She is an active community presence plus has sat in several positions on the local Real Estate Board including that of former Chairperson of the Grievance Committee. An East Hampton resident, Diane and her husband love East End living, yet also enjoy quick weekday getaways to their apartment in Manhattan when time allows.
