And, her own background in interior design helps her to visually configure each property she shows to achieve a look that makes it “home” for her clients. Buyers and sellers alike benefit from Kedakai’s insight and intelligence since she is able to show spaces to their full advantage.
Keen organizational ability is a key asset that enabled her to hone her talents while working in the field of television before embarking on a career in real estate. As Associate Producer of such prominent television specials as “The Road to China,” “A Command Performance for His Royal Highness, Prince Phillip” in London, “The American Salute to the French Bicentennial” in Paris and many other event specials, Kedakai has traveled extensively and worked with many diverse cultures.
Prior to her television experience, she worked in the field of interior design after earning two degrees in environmental/architectural design and interior design from the Parsons School of Design in New York City.
An involved New Yorker, Kedakai is an active member on the Board of Governors of Parsons School of Design and has served on the National Endowment for the Arts. Kedakai was awarded the Distinguished Service Medal Award from the New School University. She is a member of the Real Estate Board of New York and the American Society of Interior Designers. Kedakai is a Vice President, Associate Broker, at the Corcoran Group, she holds a Broker’s license and is a certified REBNY NY Residential Specialist.
Kedakai lives on the Upper East Side with her husband, James Lipton, Dean Emeritus of the Actors Studio Drama School at Pace University, host of the Bravo TV program “Inside the Actors Studio,” and author of “Inside Inside.”
