Patricia Warburg Cliff is a recognized industry leader in New York City real estate, known and respected for her creative marketing and sales expertise, as well as her integrity and discretion. She has spent more than 30 years selling Manhattan real estate. Her annual sales exceed $100,000,000. Having lived and worked for ten years abroad, Patricia’s international banking and social connections have enabled her to add a world-wide reach to her marketing of residential and investment properties in New York City.
A native New Yorker, Patricia spent a number of years living and studying abroad, where she worked in real estate development surrounding the 1973 Olympics. Her first U.S. assignment in New York was to consult with The Onassis Group in the early 70’s on the international marketing of Olympic Tower, Manhattan’s first modern luxury condominium project.
Patricia speaks, reads and writes fluent German and is proficient in French and Italian and Spanish. At Corcoran, she holds the title of Director of European Sales and in that role has been hugely successful in selling Manhattan properties to foreign individuals and corporations.
A recognized expert in all aspects of the real estate business, Patricia specializes in the sale of high end Manhattan condominiums, cooperatives, townhouses and investment properties. She is also known for her expertise in selling investment properties in the 10M-100 Million price range in the international marketplace. She has regularly served as an advisor to New York & offshore developers and has been instrumental in converting rental properties to condominium and cooperative ownership.
After receiving her B.A. degree from Marymount College in Tarrytown, New York, Patricia pursued a doctoral program in linguistics at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universitatät in Munich, Germany and subsequently received her J.D. from Hofstra Law School, specializing in real estate law. She is a member of the New York State Bar Association and serves on their Housing and Urban Development Committee.
Patricia has been a guest lecturer at the NYU Real Estate Institute where she developed the course, “Selling Cooperatives and Condominiums”, which is still one of the more popular courses in their curriculum. She has participated in numerous seminars and round table discussions sponsored by the New York Real Estate Board and is a sought-after speaker by various corporations, banks and trade associations where she is known and respected for her astute real estate market analysis. In addition, she is widely quoted in the press.
A former resident of the Upper East Side of Manhattan, Patricia and her husband Karl von Frieling moved downtown to a Soho loft in 2002 and have recently relocated to a larger loft in the West Village/Meat Packing District. They are both completely conversant with all Manhattan neighborhoods.
Both Patricia and Karl are committed to charitable causes, especially those protecting the environment and benefiting people suffering from mental illness. They are founders and supporters of the Kenneth Johnson Memorial Research Library (www.Kenslibrary.org), located at NAMI-NYC Metro.

Karl von Frieling was born and raised in Hamburg, Germany, where he received degrees in marine engineering and marine architecture.
His first career, which spanned more than twenty years, was spent in senior executive positions in the international marine industry, his second career was spent, as an international management consultant with A.T. Kearney during which time he participated in highly successful consulting projects in the marine industry. He subsequently completed that phase of his career running a large independent consulting project for shipyards along the southern coast of the United States.
In the late 90s, Karl settled in New York City and married Patricia. Since that time he has been actively involved in the real estate industry, both as a personal investor and as a sales broker. Because of his extensive European business relationships, Corcoran has appointed him to the position of European Corporate Liaison, a role for which he is eminently suited. In addition to his native German language and English, in which he is totally proficient, Karl is conversant in French, Spanish and Swedish.
Karl’s special area of expertise is Manhattan real property: townhouses and investment properties, where his background in engineering and architecture have proven an invaluable resource for sellers and buyers alike.
With strong interests in the environment, historic preservation, and medical research, Karl has as strong financial commitment to charitable organizations which further these interests.

Casey developed strong skills in organization and problem solving prior to joining the Cliff Partnership, working as a New York City school teacher and in event planning at Martha Stewart Living OmniMedia.
Casey graduated with honors from Gettysburg College with a B.A. in Business Management and Economics. She subsequently received a Master’s degree in Childhood Education from Hunter College in New York City. She also spent a semester abroad studying at the University of Queensland in Brisbane, Australia. Casey is a native of East Hampton, Long Island, where her family has resided for generations.

It was there that she perfected her knack for working in a client based field for three years. Lindsay exhibits acute organizational skills, keeping the Cliff Partnership running smoothly and efficiently every day. She further adds to our team by demonstrating enhanced professionalism with our clientele.
Originally from the windy city, Lindsay left Chicago to attend The University of Colorado-Boulder where she earned a B.A in Communication. After college, Lindsay headed east to New York City, “just for fun” as she explains. She has been here for over 4 years now and describes Manhattan as one of her favorite places in the world.

Having worked with The Cliff Partnership in New York City as an Assistant Broker, Emilie Johnson has married and moved to Europe. As European Liaison, Emilie Joly resides in Paris and acts as a point of contact for our European clients. From Paris, Emilie also works as a marketing correspondent and helps to provide The Cliff Partnership with beautifully written, well-designed promotional materials. Her fluency in French adds an additional foreign language to The Cliff Partnership.
A native New Englander, Emilie graduated summa cum laude from Brigham Young University and holds a master of arts from the University of Oxford.
