With uncommon grace, Sherry Matays distinguishes herself from the others by offering a rare and valuable combination of unparalleled expertise, skillful leadership, strategic thinking and inspired vision. In fact, it is those very qualities that led Sherry to quickly transition from a corcoran group newcomer to one of Manhattan's best brokers not long after joining corcoran in the late 80s. More importantly, as she continues to garner attention by consistently breaking records - having been named corcoran's #1 West Side Broker of the Year eight times (including 2004 through 2008) and one of corcoran's Top 25 Brokers, year in and year out - she also continues to gain the respect and admiration of her peers.

Sherry has received numerous honors, including a seat on the corcoran Advisory Council for two years and President's Council since its inception six years ago. A Cornell University graduate, she is a member of Cornell's Arts and Sciences Advisory Council and also sits on their prestigious University Council. She has been a lecturer for the continuing education classes at New York University's Real Estate Institute and has led classes at the corcoran group for both newcomers and seasoned brokers. In February, Sherry was invited to write an article for the highly-regarded Real Estate Weekly. In addition, she is a board member of the Girl Scout Council of Greater New York where she has served for three years.

And now - after more than a few record-breaking years - Sherry has created the matays group, part of the corcoran group real estate. As its founding partner, she spearheads the group's full-service efforts to effectively and efficiently buy and sell luxury real estate throughout Manhattan.

When not off buying and selling real estate or lecturing, Sherry and her husband love spending time with their children, playing golf or flying off to the next exotic destination.
