Steve Gutman lends impressive professional credentials and extensive business expertise to the real estate industry. Working with wife and partner, Elyse Gutman and partner Judith Harrison, both Corcoran Senior Vice Presidents, repeat Millennium Multi-Million-Dollar Club members and two-time REBNY "Deal of the Year" winners, together they make up The Real Team. Steve, himself a member of the Multi-Million Dollar Club, is Director of Marketing and Administration of The Real Team, and his efforts in that capacity helps to enhance the truly remarkable service these seasoned agents provide their clientele.

A graduate of New York University with a bachelor’s degree in political science, Steve served over 25 years as President and Chief Operating Officer of a family industrial distribution business with offices in the U.S., Mexico and Brazil. Prior to entering real estate, he spent 10 years as Chief Executive Officer of a leading men’s fashion business.

Steve’s interest in pursuing real estate professionally was inspired by project work with Elyse and Judith over the years, and by the incredible knowledge, service and reputation they applied to the process. His own successful experience in running and marketing businesses, orchestrating and managing multiple projects, and negotiating effective deals greatly complements the team’s efforts to the benefit of property buyers and sellers alike.

A native New Yorker, Steve resides happily with wife Elyse in their own Upper East Side home. Together they share two married daughters and grandchildren. The couple also enjoys travel to Europe.

Steve is a member of the Board of Directors of the SunAmerica Family of Mutual Funds and Trustee of the SunAmerica Anchor Series Trust. He is also a member of the Business Advisory Council of the non-profit Drum Major Institute for Public Policy, an organization dedicated to progressive competition in the marketplace of ideas and public policy formation. For 25 years, Steve also enjoyed membership in the Young Presidents Organization, where he served not only on numerous Chapter Executive Boards but also as a Chapter Chairman.
