The Corcoran Group Names Chief Operations Officer for Corcoran Sunshine Marketing Group
NEW YORK, NY – August 15, 2005 –The Corcoran Group, one of the country’s leading residential brokerage firms, announced today the appointment of Jeff Yamaguchi as chief operations officer for its new development sales and marketing division, The Corcoran Sunshine Marketing Group. Mr. Yamaguchi will work from the landmark Fuller Building at 41 West 57th Street and report directly to Corcoran’s chief executive, Pamela Liebman.

Prior to today’s announcement, Yamaguchi was vice president of operations for the Residences at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nev., the highly acclaimed 3-tower luxury hotel condominium opening in April, 2006. The hugely successful project has already secured over one billion dollars in sales and to date over 1,400 of the available 1,728 units have sold.
A 26-year veteran of the luxury hotel condominium industry, his career started in the world of vacation ownership - or time-share vacations - which eventually led to high-level positions within the Marriott and Hilton Hotel organizations, as well as the Four Seasons Hotel Group. There, he executed operational development planning for the select hotel’s prestigious Residence Club division in markets such as San Diego, Scottsdale, Jackson Hole, Costa Rica, Punta Mita in Mexico, and Exuma.

A native Californian, Yamaguchi attended Occidental College in Los Angeles where he earned a bachelor of science in biology. He is an avid golfer and music enthusiast, and with his wife Diane Yamaguchi, lives in Manhattan.
