Vicky Thompson's lifelong interest in design, building and architecture, combined with her seasoned analytical, financial and business skills, resulted in her ideal career - selling real estate - which she has enjoyed since 1994. Always a mainstay at first the Allan M. Schneider, then Corcoran Amagansett office, Vicky brings exceptional market savvy to the buyers, sellers, investors and developers who rely on her insight and expertise.
A graduate of Tufts University with a degree in Engineering, Vicky went on to earn her MBA from The Wharton School. She subsequently worked in the financial services world in Manhattan first for Citibank, then Coopers & Lybrand as a management consultant on Wall Street, and ultimately Banker's Trust.
Before deciding to leave NYC, she obtained her certified financial planning license from New York University.
Vicky's love of Amagansett began over 20 years ago when she and her husband honeymooned there. In 1987, the couple bought their first house in East Hampton, moving permanently to the area in 1991. A Long Island native,Vicky lived and worked in Manhattan for over 15 years yet always felt a special connection to the beauty of the East End.
Vicky is so effective in her work because she understands not only the intricate details that ensure a smooth real estate transaction, but the big picture in terms of developing a business model for long-term success. Her impressive depth of knowledge that includes purchasing land, rebuilding homes, 1031 exchanges, zoning and planning issues, and other important considerations for property purchasers and sellers has enabled her to cultivate not only a fine reputation, but a loyal client following as well.
While work keeps her busy, Vicky makes a point to enjoy the nature that surrounds her, whether spending quiet time at the beach, paddling the beautiful bays, or carefully selecting plants for her garden - one of her very favorite pastimes.
