Since joining Corcoran, Ginger Thoerner has demonstrated that she has what it takes to make it into the upper echelons of Hamptons real estate brokers. Her rapid rise in the industry has earned her the honor of Top Producer for her office for 2009, 2010 and 2011. In addition to her distinguished sales results, Ginger's integrity, tireless work ethic, and sharp negotiating skills dating from her days as an attorney, have been the foundation for the loyal and long-lasting relationships she forms with her clientele, and those they refer. Ginger works in all market segments, but has become a luxury property specialist having participated regularly in transactions over the $10 million mark, both on the listing and sales side.
Ginger sees her role as a partner when it comes to helping people with one of their major life decisions and investments. She listens carefully, analyzes the market thoroughly and counsels objectively. While others may disengage after the contract is signed, Ginger remains fully involved through closing, whether meeting with appraisers to ensure they have the most relevant sales data, sitting down with a customer's architect or recommending just the right service provider. Couple Ginger's attentive service with a low -pressure sales approach, her enthusiasm and sense of humor, and it is apparent why she has developed relationships with her clients that last long after their real estate needs are met.
A native of Boston, Ginger attended Phillips Academy Andover, Harvard College and New York University Law School. She practiced corporate and real estate law in Manhattan at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher. She then joined her husband, Mathias Thoerner, a Munich-based architect in opening their New York architecture and interior design firm. Ginger was responsible for marketing and business development, but through this decade-long collaboration developed a keen aesthetic sense and a discerning appreciation for architectural quality and value. Skills that have proven invaluable in matching the right properties with her buyers, or in articulating and highlighting the qualitative differences in the homes of the sellers she represents. After years of renting year round Ginger and her family enjoyed a lifestyle change when they refocused their professional and personal lives out East on a full-time basis. Ginger's passion for her profession has only exacerbated her already unhealthy addiction to shelter magazines.
