Mattituck Inlet, which leads to the Long Island Sound, is the only harbor between Port Jefferson and Orient Point. As you go inland, Mattituck is awash with creeks and ponds that await exploration. Mattituck's three vineyards have gained fame over the years. But it's strawberry season and Mattituck's annual Strawberry Festival that ushers in the summer here.
