"I believe in New York City," says Brett Baccus, a well-rounded, well-liked and capable agent and a Vice President of The Corcoran Group. "I've lived in this great city for a long time (originally a native of Illinois), sold its real estate for twenty years and recognize the city's viability and strength even when it's under fire, be it economically, socially or actually".
Brett's loyalty to and love for New York is clearly evident; she has sold property in all areas and enjoys working with buyers and sellers who provide different perspectives on how life can be lived here. She's also an accomplished professional, with in-depth knowledge of changing market conditions and current trends. Brett can sell a loft or restaurant in Tribeca, market a Fifth Avenue duplex, or find the perfect townhouse for a friend who wants to live on the West Side. Most of her new clients are referred by satisfied buyers and sellers.
Brett listens carefully to her customers, and, in addition to learning their current goals, tries to attain a sense of where they've been. She understands the need to combine financial realities with dreams and hopes, and works hard to ensure her clients achieve both. Brett is always willing to go beyond what's expected; she's fair, honest and totally prepared.
In her former lives, Brett's first career was in the music business (RCA and CBS Records) and as the manager of popular recording artists, Sly and The Family Stone and Peaches and Herb, as well as the producer of concerts internationally. Moving right along, Brett opened two popular (3 star) East Side restaurants, "Brett's" and "Ambrosia" for a number of years. Tiring of the extended work schedule the restaurant business demands, she sold both and moved into real estate. She swears the next "R" move will be "Retirement".
Brett's peers respect her abilities, and have elected her several times to represent their interests to management as part of Corcoran's Advisory Council. She's also involved in local community activities both in New York City and as a Director of the Fire Island Pines Property Owners' Association and the Pines Care Center. She somehow manages to escape a few times a year to enjoy her casita on the isle of Vieques, Puerto Rico.
