You’ve been the very best and I’ve told everyone I know that I had the best broker ever. [My friend] did me a huge favor when she gave me your number. So thanks again!— C. Castillo, West Chelsea, Customer
With more than a decade of experience in New York City real estate and over a quarter billion dollars of completed transactions, Brian Babst is known for giving personal service, tireless dedication, and unparalleled professionalism to each client. Originally from New Orleans, Brian has called NYC home for the past 15 years and has lived in all corners of Manhattan, from the East Village and Upper West Side to Union Square and Chelsea. In addition to focusing on Manhattan real estate, Brian also has extensive expertise in Brooklyn apartments and townhouses.
What makes Brian unique is his outlook on real estate. To him, real estate is not a commodity. That’s why he delves deep into each property he represents, uncovering and highlighting the unique attributes that set the property apart. Additionally, his background in marketing new condominium projects from concept to completion gives him extensive experience in branding and product differentiation. Because of these factors, Brian has a proven history for breaking pricing records.
A skilled communicator, Brian carefully listens to each buyer he assists so he can understand their true real estate needs. As such, he’s better able to leverage his buyers’ time by showing them only the properties that meet their specifications. When that perfect property is found, Brian uses his expert negotiation and presentation skills to get the best price possible and successfully present buyers to even the most rigorous co-op boards.
Before entering the real estate field, Brian obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems from Fordham University, studied abroad at the University of Westminster in London, and then worked at a top-tier Wall Street firm, performing equity research and securities analysis. His focus on numbers and data make him especially popular with clients in the financial industry.
When he’s not showing or marketing properties, Brian enjoys playing the piano, fine-tuning his Portuguese language skills, and supporting a variety of charitable organizations, among them amfAR and Habitat for Humanity.
Whether you’re ready to buy or sell, Brian will use his encyclopedic knowledge of New York City, high-quality customer service skills, and a healthy dose of Southern charm to help you meet all your real estate goal

I became very discouraged after a broker told me that I would never be able to buy a coop because of my financials. Fortunately Brian changed all that. He kept me positive during difficult bidding situations, and I found my perfect apartment.— T. Siligmueller, Greenwich Village, Buyer
