I used to browse the Corcoran site for fun, clicking on the most luxuriously expensive properties and staring at amazing photos of these exceptional homes. Then one day I scrolled down, where the agent's photo pops up, and there was an average yet intelligent looking guy, smiling. It said 'contact me for showings'. And I thought, 'I want to do that!'
I got my real estate license months later and joined a small firm in Queens. My first day, the broker's husband came to me and said, 'If you sell anything today, make it this one.' And he tossed a listing on my desk. 6 days later, contracts were out. My first sale. The seller came in just to thank me, hugging me with tears in her eyes and I never forgot that moment. It drives me today, helping people.
Soon, I craved the power of Corcoran and I remembered that smiling guy on that spectacular listing. So, I came here, starting in Clinton Hill, Fort Greene, Prospect Heights and Bedford Stuyvesant. Now my business has grown into Queens.
This is what I was meant to do. I meet many people everyday and I find something I can relate to in each of them. It's interesting how we are all the same, although everyone's circumstances are different, and my specialty is getting to know yours. What you need. What you want.
I know the different markets in New York and the techniques to be successful in each. Manhattan, Brooklyn and now Queens, all competitive, all different. You need an ally who can stay ahead of the changing trends. I like to think of it as, making a real estate love connection!
What I've done for clients: Handled sales listings in Brooklyn and Queens; townhouses, condos and co-ops. I love first time buyers. I've handled rentals for landlords and tenants. I am generous with my time and knowledge. The best client I have is one that utilizes my expertise and takes my advice, as it is always tailored for their situation and what's best for them. I pick up clients and drive them to appointments, I listen to people's life stories, and our time together is enjoyable and productive. I will leave you in a better place than how I met you!
When I am not 'real estating' I am writing. I have several screenplays and TV episodes completed in an 'epic' body of work that I have been creating for over 12 years. Recently I began reworking the material into a series of books, which proves to be the joy of my life. I also studied music, playwriting, photography and acting at Bennington College and have a BA in Fine Arts.
