Leah loves the art of the deal. Buying her first apartment in Park Slope in 1998 was one of the most exhilarating times of her life. “We were moving from Western Canada and had only five days to find an apartment to buy. We started searching in Manhattan, and on the fifth day we ventured to Park Slope, discovering a fantastic neighborhood and apartment. We sealed the deal with the seller on an airplane phone, 30,000 feet above the Adirondacks.”
Since then, Leah has purchased and sold over 25 of her own properties, including townhouses, coops, condos and even foreclosures, in numerous Brooklyn neighborhoods. Leah particularly enjoys negotiating, where her experience and steady hand have produced excellent results. Her Masters degree in design gives her an edge in evaluating a property’s potential and in finding ways to best show the property. Many of Leah’s personal properties set sales price records. She guarantees her clients the same level of attention she gives her own properties.
Leah’s extensive, personal experience, as both a buyer and seller, gives her a unique insight into what her clients need and deserve. Her first-hand knowledge of many of the pitfalls of the process and her proactive approach go a long way toward insuring things run smoothly.
In addition to her career in real estate, Leah is the co-founder of an internet start-up that uses behavioral economics and social dynamics to help couples save money together for their common goals.
