Bonnie Wyper closed our apartment faster than any agent I have ever worked with. She got our price, all cash and did it with a smile!— Doug Rice, Seller
Bonnie Wyper comes to real estate with an entrepreneurial spirit and love of people and architecture. "Every person has a fascinating story that makes them unique. Learning about this is a fun part of the business." Building relationships and making friends wherever she goes, Bonnie has a distinct edge in dealing with clients on all professional and financial levels. Bonnie is the quintessential real estate professional because she blends so many relevant skills that enhance the purchase or sale process for her clients. Former owner of an interior design and construction management firm, Bonnie understands home design, building and renovation intimately. Her previous careers in fashion and art drive her creative vision and eye for potential, while years in the advertising, arts, public relations and publishing fields have fueled her innovative thinking and marketing savvy.
Born in Connecticut, Bonnie studied the couture in Paris, designing for such 20th Century icons as the Duchess of Windsor and famed opera singer Maria Callas. Upon her return to New York, she entered the art world to run the renowned NYC Bykert Gallery. Bonnie subsequently earned her BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design after which she learned about historic architecture from the ground up by renovating her 19th Century house in Newport, RI. While living in Newport she created the Newport Office of Cultural Affairs and ran the R.I. State Council on the Arts. Moving back to NYC, Bonnie worked in the high-profile field of advertising for both William Esty and Chiat Day agencies, Art in America magazine and Steuben, Inc. In the early 1990s she followed her entrepreneurial instincts and built her own Manhattan-based interior design and construction management company. After earning an MBA, Bonnie went on to start WhatNEXT?!, a monthly newsletter covering new technology, and founded Net.Content, Inc., an Internet company which developed software. Bonnie is also involved in animal advocacy work as the co-founder of Thinking Animals, Inc. (www.thinkinganimals.org) a non-profit devoted to insuring that people become more involved in the conservation and humane treatment of animals by bringing scientists to New York for monthly lectures on the latest research in animal cognition and behavior. She is also a member of the Friends of the Wildlife Land Trust which protects wild animals by creating permanent sanctuaries, preserving and enhancing natural habitat and confronting cruelty.
