Hailing from Rockland County, NY, David earned a degree in Marketing from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, which he attended on a full athletic scholarship. He understood and excelled at the concepts of focus, discipline and overcoming competition early on with an early professional career in tennis. Afterward, David settled into an equally exciting public relations career at the high-profile Rubenstein Associates in New York, and subsequently at Time Inc. in ad sales.

A resident and apartment owner in Brooklyn Heights, David still plays tennis when time allows. He is a member of the USTA and actively involved in a mixed martial arts group.
