Jessica went beyond the call of duty to get our house sold. She was thorough and meticulous helping us with critical decisions. At the closing she stepped up to the plate to overcome an unforeseen obstacle. We are grateful and recommend her highly.— Alan and Sally, Seller
Jessica Susan Flagg was born in NYC, spent her early school years in Babylon, NY and then in London, England. She returned to college at NYU and then to McGill University in Montreal, Canada. She is knowledgeable about all areas of NYC and has helped buyers and sellers in Carnegie Hill, the Upper West Side, Gramercy Park, Murray Hill, Union Square, Mid-town east, and Central Park South. Until recently she lived in Riverdale where she ran for Congress in 2004 and 2006 on an anti-war, pro-democracy platform and is a specialist for both Riverdale and Woodlawn as well. She is interested in serving her clients' needs and helping them achieve their real estate goals. She is a member of the USTA, a former ranked squash player, and ran the NY Marathon in 1982. She also practiced yoga and studied under Sri Aurobindo. A skiing accident in 1983 led her to her current spiritual practice, Sukyo Mahikari. She is trained in the practice of giving Light to help restore the divine essence of all.
She was a top technical sales rep for Computer Sciences, Canada and after returning to New York became a partner at The Consulting Group an international executive search firm where she ran practices in commercial real estate and investment banking. She was briefly a program director for Economists for Peace and Security (formerly ECAAR) and co-founder of a not-for profit called NY Climate Rescue. She stays actively involved in the sustainability movement organizing panels and discussions for the spiritual group Sukyo Mahikari that she has been a member of since 1983. Her love of residential real estate goes back to spending time with her grandmother who was a successful agent in the Montclair and Summit areas in New Jersey and fondly remembers some of her wisdom (head to the basement when buying a house). She is interested in serving her clients' needs and helping them achieve their real estate goals. She is a member of the USTA, a former ranked squash player, and ran the NY Marathon in 1982. She believes it is time for all of us to wake up to our obligations to take care of the planet and each other and to stop poisoning our waterways, our soil and the atmosphere. There are cleaner ways of meeting our energy and food needs and the use of new technologies will lead to more jobs and happier, healthier lives for all. Corporations are not people. Giving them that status has threatened our democracy. She speaks some French, Spanish and a little Japanese.
