About Jeff

Jeff Massey’s understanding of the NYC real estate market is complemented by his well-rounded expertise in the areas of architecture, green building, and NYC zoning and building codes. This combined insight and unique skill set is not only invaluable in helping clients find the best homes for their needs; it is integral in advising developers on leading-edge trends and how to best position their properties for today’s increasingly sophisticated buyer audience.

Jeff’s passion for sustainable design, renewable energy, and green living inspired him to become a LEED® Accredited Professional in 2009. This professional designation enhances his architectural experience as well as his foresight on this very specialized area of building. Whether you are seeking or building green, Jeff is a valuable resource in this critical movement.

Prior to joining Corcoran, Jeff worked as an architect on major projects that included a 35-unit high-end residential development downtown. In this project he acquired a good command of the inner workings of NYC municipal agencies, collaborating on the attorney general’s offering plan for the building, and numerous Landmark Preservation and City Planning Commission Approvals. During this period Jeff also took the lead in writing an eco architectural blog on ways to go “green” in one’s home.

Warm, friendly, patient and personable, Jeff enjoys sharing his knowledge with clients while forging lasting relationships. Jeff transitioned to real estate sales to explore the financial side of architectural development, aspiring to learn the business from all angles. His keen understanding of building construction and approvals benefit his clients in evaluating new construction property or resale buying and selling.

Born and raised in North Haven, CT, Jeff earned his Bachelor of Architecture from Roger Williams University in Bristol, RI. He also studied abroad in Florence, Italy at the Institute at Palazzo Rucellai, and upon graduating earned the AIA Henry Adams Certificate of Merit. Outside of real estate, Jeff has on occasion been invited to critique student work at NJIT’s department of architecture and the Architectural Technology program at CUNY. Additionally he serves as treasurer of his condo's board of managers in Greenwood Heights, Brooklyn where he resides.
