Josh Nathanson’s experience and background are remarkably diverse with a broad range of academic and professional pursuits providing him with applicable skills in negotiations, marketing, finance and understanding human nature.
Both buyers and sellers love working with Josh because of his ability to proactively protect their interests and investment while still ensuring the transaction is conducted in the most efficient and least stressful manner possible. In the pursuit of client’s needs, Josh draws upon his two degrees from Columbia University (BA ‘94 and MA’99), his intensive negotiations training, his comprehensive knowledge of NYC and years of profit-maximizing deal making experience. His focus with clients is on relationship building over time and he does all he can to make the real estate buying/selling process as pleasant and enjoyable as possible.
Josh has gained a wide range of tangible skills as a result of his professional experiences in politics, finance, marketing, and negotiations. His resume includes working on Wall Street, collaborating directly with Nelson Mandela during the writing of South Africa's Constitution, and eventually becoming an Associate Director of Grey Advertising Venture Capital Investment Fund.
Passionate and knowledgeable about New York City real estate, Josh spent his college summers as a licensed tour guide on a red double-decker tour bus. He has made it his mission to learn as much as possible about every neighborhood and, indeed, each residential building in the city. A trained negotiator, Josh has effectively negotiated hundreds of deals for the benefit of clients, often resulting in substantial cost savings to buyers and additional proceeds for sellers.
Over the past several years Josh has become an active real estate lecturer and author, teaching a monthly Learning Annex class among other seminars. In addition, Josh is an active real estate investor himself and personally knows the stresses and pitfalls of real estate owenership.
