A graduate of Pratt Institute, Lois lived in the Fort Greene/Clinton Hill area for years before buying a home in soon-to-be Historic Bedford-Stuyvesant. Seeing the importance of retail in the further development of a community, she has expanded her education to include Commercial Real Estate. "Retail is the engine that drives the train. And we are lucky enough, here in Bedstuy, to have a lot of smaller spaces that can cater to Mom and Pop shops. Lewis Avenue is but a small example of what is to come."
Lois found her niche in Real Estate after almost 20 years in the Film Industry where she worked in practically every department, including Camera Operator and Set/Construction Grip. She was a proud member of N.A.B.E.T. Local 15 now I.A.T.S.E. Local 52. Lois says,"Everything I learned in the film business prepared me for a career in Real Estate. Every detail matters. From knowing if floor joists are too far apart to sensing a buyer reacting to the color of an apartment rather than the apartment itself. It's almost like being a G.C. and a psychologist all in one!
