Marie was born in Corfu, Greece. She went to Canada at the age of 16 to study and moved to NY in 1982 with her actor husband. She started her real estate career in 1987 at the then venerable agency of Sulzberger-Rolfe, and joined Corcoran in 1995 just before the company's meteoric growth. For years she enjoyed working under the mentorship of Barbara Corcoran and taught with her real estate seminars around the city. Influenced by her formal education in Commerce and Economics at the University of Toronto, and by her early career in marketing and advertising, Marie takes a strategic approach in selling her properties."When I take on an exclusive listing I always provide my seller with a written marketing plan showing exactly what I intend to do to effectively market their apartments ... and throughout the selling process I give them regular updates and meaningful feedback." When working with buyers, Marie listens very carefully: "Often I work with buyers who have been referred to me after seeing countless apartments with other brokers," says Marie. “That's when I know that I must identify the need that has not yet been met" And she does, as proven by the fact that many of her buyers have purchased the very first apartment she showed them. A frequent lecturer on real estate topics around NY, Marie lives on the Upper East Side with her husband and two daughters who attended Nightingale-Bamford in Manhattan, and later Emory University in Atlanta, and Wesleyan University in Connecticut.
