A lifetime of big adventures; a career of great accomplishments.
Globetrotter Martha Friedricks-Glass has experienced the world as many others haven't. One of the most travelled women in the United States, she has truly done it all, from climbing Kilimanjaro and traveling independently around East Africa, to trekking in New Zealand, biking the Yangtze River in China and traveling overland across much of Tibet. She has visited all seven continents, and continues to set high standards for herself, both in her travel "bucket list" as well as in the level of real estate service she assures her loyal clients.
While travel has always been in Martha's blood ever since childhood, so too has real estate. The daughter of a prominent developer in Detroit, she watched her father develop industrial properties, all the while gaining a strong foundation for sales. After studying Political Science and Education at Northwestern University, Martha taught elementary school in Harlem for a few years.
She lived in Paris with her first husband for 2 years and returned to New York where she worked part-time while raising her daughter. Realizing her natural calling, Martha entered real estate; and for the past 25-plus years, she has excelled in her role as a highly-regarded, top-producing Manhattan real estate specialist.
Martha still considers her work to be an exciting new adventure each day. An ongoing member of Corcoran's elite Multi-Million-Dollar Club, NRT's top 1,000(out of 45,000 brokers) and repeated Salesperson of the Month, she built her impressive record of high-end sales one satisfied customer at a time. Martha has also served several times over the years as a member of Corcoran's Advisory Council, an honor awarded through election by her peers.
Martha commands respect and appreciation from her satisfied clients thanks to her wealth of market knowledge and impeccable service, being rewarded with repeat business and enthusiastic referrals that are the heart of her business.
Grateful for her success in her life, work and travel, Martha is also a big believer in giving her time to others. She sits on the Board of Directors of Pathways to Housing, a non-profit international organization which has developed an innovative and successful program that provides "housing first" for homeless individuals prior to treating their mental disabilities. Additionally, Martha is on the Advisory Committee of the Vector Group at Morgan Stanley Smith Barney.
