Originally from Stockholm, Sweden. She began her real estate career in 1999 when she joined corcoran.com to help build a network of global affiliate companies and organize its international real estate conference. The following year, she was asked by a leading residential broker to join his team, where, during a twelve-month period, she was actively involved in all aspects of approximately 15 completed cooperative and condominium transactions totally over $30 million. Maria was encouraged to rejoin the Corcoran Group in the fall of 2001 and presently works as an independent agent.
Having studied in France, England and Switzerland, traveled extensively, and worked for over a dozen years in the Swedish film and television industry before moving to Manhattan in 1997, Maria brings a broad range of experience and people skills to her role as a broker. She has experienced first hand corporate relocation (her husband works for Morgan Stanley) with small children and is able to pass along valuable information to clients. Versatile yet precise, she is as comfortable showing first apartments to recent college graduates as she is adept at explaining the intricacies of the private school application process to executive families relocating to Manhattan.
Maria resides in the Carnegie Hill neighborhood of Manhattan with her husband of twenty years and their two teenage children. When not at work or involved with her family, Maria enjoys home decorating, design, and cooking.
