The Plaza Hotel is a landmark 20-story luxury hotel condominium that occupies the west side of Grand Army Plaza, from which it derives its name, and extends along Central Park South. The French Renaissance château-style building was designed by Henry Janeway Hardenbergh and opened to the public in 1907. It was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1986.
