The price is White

Celebrity photographer Timothy White's 4,000-square-foot penthouse at 448 W. 37th St. is on the market for $4.9 million.

 

Yes, the price is steep. But the two-bedroom, two-bath condo features 16-foot glass ceilings, which allow White and his wife to "see the stars" from bed. There's also a 2,500-square-foot terrace with a sound system, lighting and an outdoor shower - and great views of the city and the Hudson River.

 

White used the space as his studio before converting it into living space. He's shot numerous Hollywood A-listers, from Harrison Ford to Julia Roberts to Brad Pitt, and his work has appeared as portraits, movie posters, magazine covers and album covers for musicians like Bruce Springsteen.

 

Listing broker Timothy Rothman of the Corcoran Group had no comment.
