Once the dream of a group of New York Masons called the "Levelers," The Level Club has withstood the test of time and upheld its dignity since the 1920s when it was conceived and erected. From its original purpose as an exotic Masonic member clubhouse to a hotel of different names, to a condominium conversion in the early 1980s that still stands gloriously today, the building remains one of the most unique architectural treasures in all of Manhattan.
