Stuart
Stuart, the Martin County seat, is known as the 'Sailfish Capital of the World,' and offers tremendous diving (it is the site of several shipwrecks of Spanish galleons carrying gold and silver), boating and fishing along the St. Lucie and Indian Rivers, beautiful homes (on and off the waterfront), and so much more.
Stuart is a hub of activity for the region. One of the city's greatest assets is its quaint and historic downtown area located along the St Lucie Riverfront. The city's successful revitalization program has given downtown an inviting ambiance with new and refurbished shops and restaurants lining the main thoroughfare. Downtown offers a collection of galleries, shops, 11 cafes and eating-places, as well as some exciting nightlife.
Stuart is known for its natural beauty and its small town friendly charm, miles of un-crowded beaches and beautiful wetlands with natural inhabitants. Stuart's Riverwalk Park, which winds along the St. Lucie River, offers a relaxing and spectacular way to appreciate the river's beauty.
Stuart offers a wealth of housing choices, from single family and waterfront homes, to golf course communities, riverfront condos and gated communities.
