Sunset Park
Runs from 65th Street on the south, Ninth Avenue, Greenwood Cemetery and Fifth Avenue to the east, the Upper New York Bay to the west and 38th Street to the north.
The pride and joy of this neighborhood is the Park itself, a 24.5 acre bluff of land containing a pool, baseball fields, basketball courts, wifi access and a large playground with some of the most expansive views of Manhattan, the Statue of Liberty, the water-tower topped warehouses of the area and all of Brooklyn.
And those aren't the only views this neighborhood has to offer. While strolling through the expanse of green one comes upon stately rows of 19th century pale brick, lime and brownstone houses descending towards the water.
Fifth Avenue offers a mix of food markets, restaurants and street vendors selling everything imaginable and if you need to stock up on supplies, Costco is located on Third Avenue.
