Wellington
The Village of Wellington is renowned as the winter equestrian capital of the world. A relatively new community in the western reaches of Palm Beach County, it was once the world's largest strawberry patch situated on the eastern boundary of the Florida Everglades. Today, The Village of Wellington offers tremendous residential diversity, from apartments to estate homes at the Polo Club; from town homes to the Aero Cub where the residents have airplane hangars attached to their homes. The Village of Wellington includes some of the world's premier equestrian facilities, horse farms, agriculture and nurseries.
Wellington boasts 29 neighborhood parks, a brand-new world-class shopping mall at Wellington Green, and a plethora of dining and shopping options. It is the southern home of world-class polo and the International Polo Club Palm Beach, and the Winter Equestrian Festival, the world's biggest horse show.
While Wellington's national claim to fame may be horses and equestrian estates, the community is diverse and friendly, and offers plenty of golf course communities and unique neighborhoods. While Wellington's location provides solitude and privacy desired by many, it is conveniently located to either of South Florida's major highways (I-95 and the Florida Turnpike) and the rest of Palm Beach County's cultural highlights and beaches.
