For theater and the performing arts, the Raymond F. Kravis Center for the Performing Arts is the area's premier location which attracts locals and residents from the surrounding towns. Myriad art, antique, jewelry and auto take place year-round at the Palm Beach County Convention Center, just across the street from shop-filled CityPlace.

West Palm Beach also offers activities at the Palm Beach Zoo at Dreher Park, the South Florida Science Museum or the nearby world-class beaches and fishing. Residents are gravitating towards the district in West Palm known as 'SoSo' or South of Southern Boulevard, where many newly constructed residences just minutes from the water meld with the older historic properties that give the area its unique charm.
