Williamsburg
Runs from Flushing Avenue to Metropolitan Avenue and Bushwick Avenue, west from the Brooklyn Navy Yard.
Williamsburg is an exciting mixture of art galleries (some housed in converted garages and garden sheds) living rooms and lofts. Real estate options range from good ol' industrial lofts to new high rise condos. The Mill building on North 3rd features ten-by-fifteen foot bathrooms and kitchens with six-burner Wolf ranges. On the Southside, 238 South 3rd boasts wide-plank pine floors and stainless steel appliances in blowout loft configurations.
There's a ton of entertainment options here too: attend a reading at Galapagos or catch a band at North Six. Carnivores will enjoy Peter Luger's, called by many the best steakhouse in New York City. Every July, the 'dancing of the Giglio,' an Italian feast, transforms the area around North 8th into a Fifth-century Italian village.
