A former associate at Corcoran Premier Realty, Carmen has recently reinstated her real estate license and is happy to once again be part of the team.
With a BS in Business Administration from Rollins College, she worked in the world of high technology until the day she and her husband purchased a crumbling but architecturally beautiful old house in Orlando’s Spring Lake neighborhood. Built in 1926, the Mediterranean style home was chosen as the showcase home for Hope and Help Center of Central Florida’s fundraiser. The home’s transformation inspired Carmen to fulfill her own deep held desire to return to school to earn a degree in interior design from Seminole State College.
In 2004 she opened Soho Interior Design, a boutique business utilizing her skills to transform living and work areas into functional and beautiful spaces. For the past five years, she has collaborated with Showhomes, the nation’s largest home staging company, staging over a dozen luxury homes in the Winter Park area. With a keen eye and an emphasis in current market trends, she has helped many homeowners realize their property’s full sales potential.
Carmen is an active member of Orlando’s Museum of Art Council 101, a member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, and an avid University of Florida Gators fan. Thanks to her Cuban roots, she makes a mean flan and speaks fluent Spanish.
Carmen’s vast experience in the real estate business, from design to sales to staging, has taught her that the sale and purchase of a home is one of life’s great hallmark moments, lending strength to her belief that a home isn’t just where you live. It’s where you create a life.
