Jean Benedict brings her laser-focused real estate savvy to her clients as a broker and expert in New Eastside with Corcoran Urban, and is a long-time resident and active with her condo association board at 155 N. Harbor Drive, Chicago’s Harbor Point. Having come to Chicago from Atlantic City to attend school, Jean earned her B.A. from Northwestern University in Sociology, an MBA from Loyola University Chicago in Marketing, and immediately made Chicago home.
A long-time corporate buyer for Sears, Jean began making several purchases of her own in investment properties. Soon thereafter, she found herself buying, selling, and renting out her own properties and obtained her license so she could help others do the same.
The seasoned veteran especially enjoys working with sellers, finding her investor clients their rental tenants, and ultimately helping those renters become first-time homebuyers. Counseling future homeowners on how to have their “financial house” in order, and teaching them what they need to consider before buying their first home, is as fulfilling to Jean as are her repeat clients looking for a new first or second home.
Jean’s buyers and sellers often commend her for being responsive, efficient, and flexible. Her sense of urgency to respond to a fellow agent regarding a transaction, or to her clients who may have pressing questions, is immediate, as her clients and colleagues can count on Jean’s undivided attention throughout the process.
When this downtown professional isn’t on a call or responding to an email, she can often be found playing the piano or entertaining guests she also cooks for. Jean has also earned her culinary degree, and takes pride in welcoming others into her home to enjoy a sensational meal.
