How should we connect with you?
Loxahatchee, an unincorporated area in Palm Beach County, is about 17 miles west of West Palm Beach. Known for its wide open spaces and equestrian-friendly properties, this rural location boasts an inclusive, suburban atmosphere. Though all of the urban attractions of Palm Beach are a short distance away, Loxahatchee residents enjoy all the charming benefits of small town life. <p>Its country setting gives way to distinct attractions, like Florida’s only drive-through safari. Lion Country Safari, a 20-minute drive west of Loxahatchee, is home to over 900 animals, from regal African lions to 350-pound ostriches. This safari theme park also offers animal feeding experiences, boat rides, and a miniature golf course. McCarthy’s Wildlife Sanctuary, on 61st Street North, treats hundreds of sick or injured native animals before releasing them back into the wild. The sanctuary is also home to over 170 permanent residents, from cheetahs to chimpanzees. Visits are by appointment only. Nicknamed “Florida’s last frontier,” the Loxahatchee lifestyle encourages a close relationship with nature.
