How should we connect with you?

    Montclair

Montclair is a lovely, well-established neighborhood with a quaint, small-town feel in the Oakland Hills. There’s plenty of charming architectural gold in those hills, with many of Oakland’s most grand and stylish estates set among the slopes’ winding, sylvan roads. Despite the splendor of Montclair’s houses, this is not a flashy neighborhood at all. Montclair residents cherish the whimsical Storybook Style architecture sprinkled throughout their community. You can see these Hansel and Gretel-style buildings, including the 1927 firehouse and the 1930 library, in Montclair Village, or in a pocket of fairytale-like houses in the Fernwood enclave, hidden among the trees. The Village has everything locals need, including supermarkets, bookstores, restaurants, and a weekly farmers market. There’s plenty of parks and trails, including Joaquin Miller Park, one of the only urban second-growth redwood groves in existence, and the Montclair Railroad Trail, a popular rail-trail for walking and biking.
