Landfall is a gated community in Wilmington that covers 2,200 acres and is bordered by the Intracoastal Waterway on its northern boundaries and by Howe Creek on its western edges. The beautifully landscaped community contains 320 acres of conservation land, multiple lakes, and an entire system of nature trails, all only open to Landfall’s residents and guests. There’s never a shortage of activities at Landfall — amenities include two championship golf courses designed by Pete Dye and Jack Nicklaus, an impressive sports complex with a large pool, 11 year-round Har-Tru lighted tennis courts, and eight pickleball courts. The junior tennis program is notable for having produced many state champions and Division I college tennis players, but there’s plenty of room for casual players as well. The Country Club of Landfall boasts several cafes and restaurants, and even has a members-only wine club with monthly tastings.
