    Cresskill

    Cresskill is often grouped with Tenafly, its larger and better-known neighbor, but this small Bergen County borough has plenty to offer in its own right. It's particularly well regarded for its wide assortment of houses, ranging from charming Cape Cods and Colonials to grand, luxurious contemporary estates. With fewer than 10,000 residents, Cresskill is mostly residential, with a small downtown that has an assortment of popular restaurants and shops. There’s also a municipal town pool, community tennis courts, holiday parades, and an active town-sponsored garden club. Cresskill is also very close to the parks in nearby towns, notably the Demarest Nature Center, the Closter Nature Center, and the Tenafly Nature Center, which offer hundreds of acres for hiking and exploring. Most Cresskill residents who commute to New York City take a bus, which bypasses much of the rush hour traffic via the bus lane.
