About Allan BolchazyIn 2018, Allan re-located from Chicago, IL, with an impressive and diverse background in the civil engineering and publishing worlds. Most recently, Allan was Vice President for Bolchazy-Carducci Publishers in Mundelein, IL. During those ten years, he was responsible for managing staff, contract administration, review of financial performance, and all marketing efforts including advertising copy for website/email/print, convention sales, and royalties setup. Also during that time, he honed his real estate faculties as owner and manager with A-B Realty and Management, responsible for renting and maintaining five office/warehouse units, also in Mundelein, IL.
Previous to his publishing and property management experience, Allan held a twenty year career as a civil engineer and project manager. The majority of his work focused on transportation-related projects, such as highways, roadways, railroad, bike paths, parking lots, site development and utility work. As project manager, the scope of his work included client meetings, negotiation, managing budgets and schedules, overseeing design work, quality control, and coordinating with permitting agencies for environmental permits.
“My experience in both engineering project management and as vice president of a publishing company provide me with the ability to connect and communicate with people, follow rules and regulations, and to understand and execute contracts. My engineering eye helps me to evaluate the general condition of a property and to bring vision to the potential of a property.”
Allan recently moved to Santa Rosa with his husband after repeatedly visiting the area over many years. His focus will be residential real estate in Santa Rosa and the Sonoma Valley, and continuing to build and maintain relationships through communication, trust and respect — which he believes are key elements to both relationships and good business.
In Chicago, Allan volunteered at Ravenswood Community Services, cooking hot meals for neighbors, and is looking forward to continuing that work at the Church of the Incarnation’s Sunday Open Table, where he has become a member. Allan enjoys spending time with family, traveling, cooking, hiking, reading, volunteering, and wine tasting, and is looking forward to making Sonoma County HOME.
“I enjoy everything that Sonoma County has to offer including the state parks, great restaurants, vineyards, climate, and of course the people.”
