About Emma

Emma's interest in real estate began when she started looking for an apartment for herself and her family. She had lived in the Village for her first eight years in NYC, but after her first child was born, "320 square feet wasn't going to cut it." In her search for a larger space, she quickly realized that Brooklyn was where she should be.

In 2002, Emma bought one of the first condos on Washington Avenue, then two years later she bought a completely derelict townhouse in Bedford Stuyvesant and managed a total gut renovation that included supervising seven subcontractors, designing floor plans, and changing the CO of her multifamily building.

Over the past 16 years, Emma has herself been a buyer, a seller and a landlord, dealing with different mortgage brokers and lenders, and has managed her property and her various tenants. Emma is therefore conversant in many aspects of real estate and can offer invaluable advice to her clients. In recent years, she has been involved in renting furnished apartments on a short-term basis with her own vacation rental business. Emma enjoys her role as the "concierge" meeting and greeting her guests. As her client, you will find her to be highly attentive, diligent and timely.

Emma is an expat from the UK and still has that accent! She moved to NYC in 1995 to work as a fabric designer in the garment industry. Emma was responsible for predicting trends and producing fabrics for fashion apparel, affording her a great eye for color and design.

The mother of two teenage sons, Emma has navigated the NYC public and private school systems as well as the city’s parks, playgrounds and sports facilities. She has lived in Bed Stuy for the past 13 years and is an active community member, attending community board meetings and running her block association.

...signing with Emma may have been the single best decision we ever made. Emma's knowledge of the Brooklyn market, in combination with, her first-hand experience of gut-renovating her own brownstone provided us with amazing insight & advice during our own search...Her approach is frank, yet supportive, & she really listens to her client's needs...I would recommend Emma as an outstanding broker!
— Emily Flynn, Buyer
I found a true confidant & partner in Emma. She was equally dedicated to finding the right place for myself & family, as she was to selling our previous place to buyers I would have hand picked. Emma was always available for a phone call, text or email. Emma is a powerhouse and I highly recommend her!
— Kim, Buyer & Seller
I hired Emma for the sale of my Brooklyn condo. I couldn't have been more pleased with her work. The first open house came quickly and multiple offers above asking price were received instantly. She has helped me find a new home as well! She has an amazing understanding of NYC real estate, especially the borough of Brooklyn. I highly recommend Emma for all your buying and selling needs.
— Chris C, Buyer & Seller
Emma was always responsive via email or phone and went above and beyond in making sure things were moving along. Finding a home and submitting an offer is the easy part. It's the aftermath that is challenging and Emma was persistent in following up with sellers' agents, attorneys, mortgage brokers, whomever to ensure things were moving along. I am very appreciative of her experience & persistence.
— Dot, Buyer

We recently moved to NYC from London and were looking for a Brooklyn rental. I started contacting real estate agents before we came out and Emma was by far the most responsive and helpful and supportive. She made looking at properties and feeding back very easy and gave me lots of options. Emma had a brilliant knowledge of Brooklyn and really understood what we were looking for...Thanks Emma!
