Marie was born in Corfu, Greece. She went to Canada at the age of 16 to study and moved to NY in 1982 with her actor husband. She started her real estate career in 1987 at the then venerable agency of Sulzberger-Rolfe, and joined Corcoran in 1995 just before the company's meteoric growth. For years she enjoyed working under the mentorship of Barbara Corcoran and taught with her real estate seminars around the city. Influenced by her formal education in Commerce and Economics at the University of Toronto, and by her early career in marketing and advertising, Marie takes a strategic approach in selling her properties."When I take on an exclusive listing I always provide my seller with a written marketing plan showing exactly what I intend to do to effectively market their apartments ... and throughout the selling process I give them regular updates and meaningful feedback."
