A New Yorker since 1987, Erik has lived in Park Slope Brooklyn for the last 25 years with his two daughters and his wife Lesley Semmelhack, a Corcoran top producer. Erik entered the real estate world after the success of his wife convinced him to bring his decades of experience in strategically growing international companies back home to the NYC market. Erik has shown leadership across globally-dispersed teams to result in over $75,000,000 of new revenue growth for entities he recently directed. He began his career with Omnicom at the beginning of the digital wave, leading strategy and business development for teams doing groundbreaking work in the space. He then led international sales and marketing for digital startup Gotham Broadband, driving new business and ongoing client management with companies such as Deutsche Telekom and Time Warner. As a co-founder of Major League Gaming, he spent five years building and marketing the company ultimately selling the company Activision for$46M. He then served as founder and managing partner at social media startup Ted Steel Entertainment, launched WPP’s award winning agency Ars Thanea as President and most recently lead global growth and transformation as Chief Revenue Officer at Splash Worldwide. Erik is also an adjunct professor at Parsons School of Design and OpEd culinary columnist for select international publications.
