About Me

About Vanessa DeGarcia

Born in Manhattan and raised in Georgia, Vanessa moved to Brooklyn the same year she graduated college and has happily lived there ever since. She returned to NYC with very little, not knowing many people, and thanks to her vision, resilience and persistence, established herself in a difficult field. Vanessa received a BFA in Photography from Savannah College of Art & Design and enjoyed a successful career in professional photography. She assisted an established food photographer, working with major brands like Gourmet magazine, Pepsi and Domino’s, then became a freelance photographer/retoucher, and photo manager at various firms. Vanessa has shared her expertise as a teacher at Fashion Institute of Technology for many years and founded her own portrait studio, Vee’s Vision Photography, focusing on artistic maternity. Intertwined with her keen eye for detail and aesthetics are layers of customer service and marketing experience that continues to be invaluable in her real estate practice. As a self-starter and hard worker, Vanessa always aims to please. “I love figuring out exactly what my client’s wants and needs are whether they are seeking or selling a home, and finding the best way to fulfill them. My inherent focus on style and design allows me to help customers envision possibilities in a space, and showcase properties at their best.”
