It is indeed my pleasure to convey my experience with Ms. Royce C. Berler of CitiHabitats, both as my broker in the sale of my apartment as well as in the purchase of my new one. Right at the first meeting, I liked her and felt at ease immediately. She manages to balance everything perfectly; friendly without being phony, knowledgeable without being arrogant and firm without being pushy.

Royce was my agent on my UWS condo – we closed in May 2012. My family and I were relocating to NYC from Switzerland and had to do most of our search remotely, with occasional visits to New York. When I started my search, I ‘cold’ contacted several agents, including several big names at the larger firms. Royce was THE ONLY one who was very responsive, emailing back almost always on the same day.

It’s a pleasant experience working with Royce. She’s nice, considerate, professional and very helpful of finding the suitable apartment for me. Royce has good taste and good humor to boot. Buying an apartment in Manhattan for the first time was—and is—intimidating. To start, Royce interviewed me to learn about me as an individual, to learn what was keeping me on the renter’s side of the fence, when I got there what kept me on the fence, and coaxed me to the other side so I could own my own home for the first time.

During the past 45 years I’ve bought and sold 2 dozen properties and met hundreds of realtors. Some of them have been excellent, but not one of them matches Royce Berler for her competence, her professionalism, her thoroughness, her knowledge of the market, her strategic sense and her loyalty. Royce has sold about 20 co-ops in my building and has consistently achieved top results.

I was so impressed by her work that two years later, when I decided to start looking for a bigger place to buy, I sought her advice.
