About Elaine

At the helm of Corcoran’s thriving Westside office, Elaine Dean oversees a team of sales professionals whose success is recognized throughout the industry. Every year, many of her agents’ sales figures rank in the top 25 highest-grossing agents at Corcoran. At least 30 of her agents are recognized annually by NRT, the largest residential real estate brokerage in the nation and Corcoran’s parent company, as some of the top 1000 agents in that company’s nationwide sales force.

Elaine has been an integral part of the success of the Westside office since it opened, first as an agent and then as a manager. Under her leadership, the office has grown from under 40 to nearly 140 associates. Elaine has established an interactive coaching and training program for all new agents, meeting one-on-one with them once a month for at least six months. In these meetings, agents can candidly discuss their successes and challenges, and get personalized instruction on everything from pitching exclusives, keeping in contact with customers, growing a profitable referral base, and presenting a hopeful buyer to a strict co-op board, to something as simple as how to make a trying day more tolerable.

“These sessions really bring the agent into the team,” states Elaine. “Sharing both the positives and negatives in a supportive, understanding environment, helps them see that everyone has challenges while growing a real estate business.”

Elaine is a committed advocate of peer-to-peer mentoring, having seen many agents, both new and seasoned, benefit greatly from this opportunity. She has a unique ability to identify the best match of mentor and new agent, and works with them to build the relationship. In many cases, a mentor-mentee team works so well that they continue to work together past the agreed-upon time period, creating a highly profitable business together.

Elaine has grown up in the New York real estate community, and her extensive experience in the field and in the office, her solid business judgment, action-oriented management style, and her reputation for balance and fairness, have each contributed her strong reputation at Corcoran and in the greater real estate community. She is actively involved with
