Corrine Barsky loved her duplex at the Carlyle. “Twenty-four-hour maid service, my dear. They take care of everything,” she told The New Yorker in 2005. “You call downstairs and ask, Can you change a light bulb? Can you open a box for me? They come up.”

Ah the joys of 24-hour concierge service! Although Ms. Barksy’s residence at the Carlyle isn’t up for sale, it appears she may be vacating her beloved apartment. Mrs. Barsky purchased a unit at 1025 Fifth Avenue, city records show.

Although we doubt the co-op board will approve room service any time soon, Ms. Barsky—whose late husband made his fortune improving the design of yellow legal pads—still makes out at her new place. According to a shrthnd listing from Corcoran broker Suzanne Turkewitz, the place is a “Magnificent triple mint sunny home w/best layout in bldg.”

The three-bedroom, three-bath has a 337-square-foot living room, oak floors, and new kitchen appliances so Ms. Barsky can cook her very own meals! And with an in-home washer dryer, there’s no need to send away dirty clothes.

The home was sold by David and Tammy Friedman, who list Woodmere, New York as their home on the deed. The Friedmans bought the Fifth Avenue apartment in 2009.
